Legal Events become real deadlines
Espacenet transaction codes, known as Legal Events, arrive on your docket as event tasks. AppColl also generates Review Event tasks, exactly as it does for Review USPTO Communication on U.S. matters, and any task type triggered by a Legal Event is docketed with a Hard Deadline.

AppColl does not have access to every Legal Event in Espacenet's API. When a known event arrives, tasks are docketed automatically. Where a jurisdiction publishes no events, the matter still lives on your docket and the tasks are yours to add.
Annuities, handled for the life of the patent
Almost all annuities key off filing dates or issue and grant dates, and Espacenet supplies those dates in most instances. Once they are on the matter, annuity tasks generate themselves for the life of the patent. Press Update Matter to bring the dates in.
